At the end of Term 1, English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners at TES supported the UNICEF Kid Power donation challenge. Over a month, the children read and completed as many challenges as possible on Raz Kids. They chose to donate stars they earned to UNICEF. The stars were then converted to provide clean drinking water to families in need around the world. It was fantastic to see our EAL learners step up to the challenge and help make a real difference to other children who are less fortunate and support the TES school vision by making a positive difference in the global community.
Overall, our EAL learners collaborated to donate a combined total of 589,200 stars, equivalent to over 29 months of clean drinking water for children around the world! A fantastic achievement and a huge well done to every child who participated.
All students who participated will be presented with a certificate of recognition for their efforts in the assembly next week.
