Last weekend, we competed in the New Taipei League in Xinzhuang with a combined group of Year 5 boys, Year 6 & 7 girls. The combined group entered a boys division where we could gain valuable game experience for the players. In the past two years we have trained a lot and now we have many opportunities to set our players out to develop their tactical knowledge and skills in a competitive scenario. For most of our players it was the first time they played in an 8v8 match and they coped very well.

There were moments of good dribbling and turning from Claire and Miffy, good handling and saves from Milan, good tackles from Sophie, Jessie and Emma, good passing from Luna, Hunter and Kylie, good support play from Olivia and Sophie.  Our players played with heart and represented the school fantastically well.

The experience these players will gain from these matches and the ones in the future will provide a platform for future success and most importantly their player development.

The journey continues this weekend with another three matches - Go Bears!
