We have started the new Nursery year with a focus on spending as much time outdoors as possible.

There are many positive benefits to outdoor play such as; developing motor skills, engaging with the outdoor environment and getting fresh air.

Our reason for this is that we are aware of children having had to spend a lot of time indoors due to the pandemic, and they perhaps didn't get as many opportunities as normal.

We are fortunate at TES to have a wonderful outdoor garden. Everyday we set up planned learning activities within this environment to extend, enhance and support the children's learning.

We also use the infant playground, and this is a great space for continuing to work on large muscles. Bike riding, climbing, building and swinging are all popular activities in this space.
