As you are already aware the British Primary Section (BPS) take safeguarding and wellbeing extremely seriously, which is why I am very excited to announce to you that in the coming weeks the British Primary Section (BPS) will launch Toottoot to our Key Stage 2 (KS2) students. I will introduce Toottoot to the students at the KS2 Assembly next Friday. Toottoot is an additional tool to enhance wellbeing and safeguarding for our students, making it easier for them to speak-up and feel that their concerns are listened to and properly resolved, as well as giving BPS staff a new way to listen to our pupils.
Not all students have the confidence to approach a member of staff to discuss a concern or issue that they may be having face-to-face. Tootoot makes it simple for students to report anything from bullying to a mental health or wellbeing concern via their 1:1 iPad. A simple-to-use app makes it easier for our students to speak-up and gives them confidence that their concerns are being taken seriously.
Our pastoral care team can respond and manage student concerns effectively and confidentially using Toottoot’s case-management feature, building up a chronology from start to finish. The system also allows us to measure the impact of our approach to wellbeing, safeguarding and anti-bullying, making it easy to gain quick insights into what our staff and students think about topics important to their school.
