My wife is Taiwanese and I am Swiss. We are both composers and have lived all over the world prior to settling in Taiwan.

As parents and artists, we feel strongly that our children should receive a broad and international education that fosters creativity and critical thinking in a supportive multi-cultural environment. TES fits these requirements uniquely and became, after extensive research, the only choice for our children's schooling as long as we are living in Taiwan.

While I am very happy living on this beautiful island, I also wanted my children to experience European culture not just coming from me. 

The many cultural events and the general interaction of the three European cultural sections at TES, like in real life, requires understanding, empathy and cooperation to achieve harmony, and as such enriches their education immeasurably.
