The registration deadline for the German Kindergarten and the German School is February 25, 2022. Beyond that, registrations are possible at any time.

Yes. The German Section is an official German School Abroad fully accredited by the German government. The education follows German curricula. Our certificates are internationally recognized. More info.

No, there is no need for your child to be a German citizen. However, Taiwanese law requires that your child possesses a foreign (non-Taiwanese) passport.

In addition to the school fees, which are due twice a year, a one-off registration fee is charged per child at the time of registration.

Siblings are entitled to a discount.

In order for your application to be considered, all required documents must be submitted via TES OpenApply before the deadline. Please see below the required documents.

The applicant must hold a valid non-Taiwanese passport.

• Official school reports for the past two years for Primary school applicants, three years for Secondary and High School applicants (in German or English)

• A color passport-size photo

• Evidence of the applicant’s legal residency, i.e. Taiwanese passport or 60-day visa or Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) as soon as it has been obtained.

• For Kindergarten applicants with no schooling experience, school reports are not mandatory.

Language Requirements: the conditions for admission as stated in the table below refer to the Common European Framework of Reference for the learning of languages:

•     Kindergarten: No German language skills required    
•     Klasse 1 and 2: A1
•     Klasse 3 and 4: A2
•     Klasse 5: A2/B1
•     Klasse 6: B1
•     Klasse 7: B2
•     Klasse 8: C1
•     Higher grades: C1/C20
  
  The language proficiency level for admission to the school is evaluated by means of a formal language proficiency test.
