We encourage the development of the whole person, promoting the long-term success of the children and young people in our care. We care equally about achieving world-class academic outcomes as we do about individual student wellbeing.

We embrace educational approaches that encourage students to become active, compassionate, lifelong learners. Learning takes place within creative and safe classrooms that promote collaboration, challenge, risk-taking and reflective practice. Learning also happens in our immensely varied Co-Curricular Activities programme.

We are committed not only to caring for the wellbeing of our students and staff but also to actively educating our community about how to live a happy and fulfilled life.

We are big enough to offer a diverse range of opportunities and small enough to get to know each other well. We value the diversity of our school community (students, parents and staff) and encourage one another to contribute positively, and to our fullest potential.

We know that participation in community life is important. Giving back also helps to improve our own wellbeing. People who are interested in helping others are more likely to rate themselves as happy, and there are lots of opportunities for our students and staff to get involved in service projects.

There is only ever one focus for development: our core work of teaching and learning. We too are learners, and all of our teachers live by example. Our approach to continuing professional development reflects what we aspire to with our students: a variety of approaches; strategies to reflect individual needs; learning by doing; learning by teaching each other (regularly sharing best practice).

We believe that all of us are responsible for developing the potential of each member of our school community. Every member of our community is expected to respect and celebrate our multicultural environment and the enrichment this brings. 

We are an international school community with over forty different nationalities represented amongst the student body. We seek to develop each student as a unique individual and to be independent, principled and mindful members of the local, national and global communities to which we belong.

We believe that it is our role to provide students with opportunities to ‘be at their best’, to graduate knowing who they are and where their strengths lie, but also how they can develop their lesser strengths. Every year on Character Day, we celebrate what it means to be ourselves.

We do everything we can to celebrate the successes of our students and staff. We know that to achieve wellbeing and happiness, we must be able to look back on our lives with a sense of accomplishment and be able to say, ‘I did it, and I did it well.'
